Agricultural Economics
Rogers A. Lumenyela (PhD) works in the Department of Rural Development and Regional Planning of the Institute of Rural Development Planning. He is an Agricultural Economist with 7+ years of experience as a lecturer, researcher, trainer and consultant. Areas of interest are Project Planning and Management, Quantitative and Qualitative research, Principles of economics, Farm Business Management, Investment and Production Analysis, Project Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact Assessment, Value Chain Analysis and Development, Poverty and Livelihood Analysis.
Before joining IRDP, Dr. Lumenyela served as an assistant lecturer in the Department of Policy, Planning and Management of Sokoine University of Agriculture. He teaches project Management and Appraisal, Monitoring and Review, Impact Evaluation, Political Economy and Principles of Economics.
Professional Skills
The main research and academic interests are farm-level simulation, value chain analysis, policy analysis, analysis, climate change adaptation, and mitigation, as well as innovation and entrepreneurship.
