Abel F. Moshi (PhD- on going) works as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Rural Development and Regional Planning of the Institute of Rural Development Planning. He is an Economics Expert with 4+ years of experience as a researcher, trainer and consultant in the field of Economics, Agricultural Economics, Agro value chain, Agribusiness and Agriculture.
Professional Skills
- Wide knowledge of Crop Harvest and Post-Harvest Losses in the agro- value chains in Tanzania.
- Currently working on the testing of the Design institutional arrangements as an Model to resolve the sunflower cooking oil deficit in Tanzania, which later will be used as a design arrangements to upgrade other agro value chain to achieve efficient.
- Business plan development
- Designing online mobile data collection platforms using most current technologies, i.e. KoboCollect and OpenDataKit (ODK).
- Experienced in the use and applications of statistical packages such as SPSS, STATA, and R-Statistical Software for performing complex statistical analysis, such as, Binary Logistic Regression, Multiple Liner Regression, and Multinomial Linear Regressions.

Main research and academic interest is on economics for development, agro value chain, crop harvest and post -harvest losses, agriculture, agribusiness and entrepreneurship.
