Work Experience

Peter Chiduo (M.A. Information Studies) works in various positions since 1988 and now is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Regional Development and Head of Library Section of the Institute of Rural Development Planning – Lake Zone Centre. He is an Information Specialist with 36+ years of experience as a researcher, trainer and consultant in the field of Information Studies. He is a Member of Tanzania Library and Information Association (TLA) a non-profit corporation formed to encourage and promote the welfare of libraries and the professional interests of Information Specialist in Tanzania. He is also a Member of the Consortium of Tanzania University and Research Libraries (COTUL) which is an association of university and research libraries in the country.


Professional Skills

Knowledge of Information Life Cycle, Leadership, Customer Focus, Problem Solving, Management Information System and Computer Proficiency. Organizes information and collection by studying, analyzing, interpreting, and classifying data.

The skills in an analysis, design, development, operation, maintenance and organize the databases as well as managing information in accordance with and contributing to the operations of the institute.
