Julius Alex Tarimo (MA Linguistics) works as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Development Finance and Management Studies of the Institute of Rural Development Planning. He is a Linguist and a communication skills coach with 08+ years of experience as a trainer, tutor, facilitator, text editor, translator, researcher, and consultant in the field of Linguistics (language description and documentation, dialectology, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, rhetoric, text editing and translation) and communication skills (business communication, technical communication, intercultural communication, ethical communication and applied communication) and rapporteur.
The main research and academic interests are in dialectology/language variation, language and education, sociolinguistics, language and development, language gender and power, ethical/business communication, translation, and applied and intercultural communication.
