Flora Valentine Mlage works as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Regional and Rural Development Planning of the Institute of Rural Development Planning (IRDP). She is a planner with five + years of experience as a researcher and trainer in the field of Reginal and Rural Development Planning. Also, she has experience of 20+ years of teaching at secondary schools

Main research and academic interest are on rural urban linkages, gender and rural development, water resource, agriculture and rural development, rural and sustainable development, women and entrepreneurship, resources mobilization for rural development, rural electrification and development planning.
