Shauri Timothy is an economist with over 15 years of experience, he holds a Ph.D. in Economics, and a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics. During all these years, Shauri has been unraveling the complexities of micro and macro-economics. With a profound understanding of economic theories and the ability to connect diverse economic concepts, Shauri navigates seamlessly through the intricacies of each field of socio-economic development. As trainer, researcher and consultant he has been working with various national and international organizations, WWF-Tz, World Bank, USAID-Tz, Ohio State University, FAO, AGRA, UNICEF, CARE-International, Kilimo-Trust, Oxfam GB, SAGCOT Centre, Agricultural Council of Tanzania (ACT), UMADEP (at Sokoine University of Agriculture-SUA), Soil Water Research Management Group (SWARMG-SUA), Ardhi University (ARU), The University of Dodoma (UDOM), Agricultural Markets Development Trust (AMDT) as well as various MDAs such as Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Trade, Agricultural Seed Agency (ASA), Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH), National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Office of Chief Government Statistician-Zanzibar (OCGS), Financial Sector Deepening Trust (FSDT), to mention a few.
Shauri’s research and academic interests are in the areas of Policy reviews, Livelihood Studies, Economic Analyses, Strategic Plan development, Value-chain Development and Analysis, Data Quality Assessment (DQA); as well as Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of various community development and empowerment projects.
