Work Experience

Ms. Tafuteni Chusi works as a Lecturer in the Department of Development Finance and Management Studies at the Institute of Rural Development Planning in Dodoma city, Tanzania. She is an Industrial Economist with several years of experience as a researcher, trainer and consultant in the field of industrial management and development, competition economics, competition policy, digital economy, business management, public and private finance, entrepreneurship and microfinance development, investment analysis, Taxation and capital markets.

  • Wide experience (since 2014) in Budgeting, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) of various projects (in the Government of Tanzania, The Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar and different private organizations)
  • Wide knowledge and skills in the use of professional software such as Python, R, Stata, SAS, SPSS, and MATLAB
  • Creating online platforms for collecting mobile data using the latest technologies, such as Survey Solutions and OpenDataKit (ODK).
