Urban and Regional Planner
Resian Kanyatila works as an assistant lecturer in the Department of Environmental Planning. She is an Urban and Regional Planner with 7+ years of experience as a researcher, trainer and consultant in the field of Urban and Regional Development Planning and Management. She is also a member of SPRING International Association of Development Planners (SIADP) with a head office in Dortmund, Germany, a member of Alumni of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) under the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany and a fully Registered Member of Tanzania Town Planner’s Registration Board.
The main research and academic interests are in Urban, Rural, and Regional Development Planning, Land Use Planning for Urban and Rural Investment Projects, Resource Mapping, Resource Assessment and Resource Management, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation as a way of assisting and accelerating country’s effort towards Sustainable Development.
