Ms. Immaculate Gillo works as a Lecturer in the Department of Rural Development and Regional Planning of the Institute of Rural Development Planning. She is a Planner with more than 20 years of experience as a researcher, facilitator, trainer and consultant in various Rural development, Planning and Management issues. Ms. Gillo specializes on Community Development, Strategic Planning and Management, Gender issues, Baseline surveys and Feasibility studies, Impact evaluation, Project Planning and Management, Participatory Planning Approaches, Organizational Capacity and Training Needs Assessment and Preparation of Socio-economic profiles, preparation of professional training manuals and Integrated Development Plans. Ms. Gillo has experience of using Mobile data collection methods and tools such as Open Data Kit (ODK) and KoboToolbox for survey data collection. In addition, she has strong expertise of using SPSS, Nvivo, Excel, and STATA for both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. She has done numerous research and consultancies in the areas of Community development, Project Planning and Evaluation, Strategic planning, Gender issues, Climate change and Management. Gillo has worked with a diverse number of clients such as Local and Central government Authorities, Private and International Organizations.

My main research and academic interests are in issues of Gender, Vulnerable and minority Groups, Community development, Rural development Planning, Corporate social responsibility, and Climate change adaptation and mitigation issues.
